Austin's Baptism

Babka (John's Grandma) made Austin a Baptism outfit several years ago. It was very special for him to wear it on the day of his Baptism.

We all had a wonderful time on Saturday at Austin's baptism. It was very special to see everyone for a joyous celebration. Having our family, church family, and friends there was a great way to celebrate Austin being welcomed into the Christian faith. Uncle Clint was holding him while Pastor McFarland poured the water on his head. Austin was wide awake and talking the whole time and didn't cry. That made Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Clint laugh. Mommy needed that because we all know she can cry. The good news is they were happy tears. Thank you to our wonderful family for helping with the set up and clean up at the church.

Austin's Baptism

We can't wait till next weekend to celebrate with family and friends the baptism of our son. I will post lots of pictures afterward.

Valentine Checkup

Austin went to the pediatrician today... weighing in at 12 lbs 6 oz and measuring 23 1/2 inches long. It's no wonder his newborn clothes don't fit anymore! Austin also earned an 'A' on his very first report card by following objects with his eyes, cooing with vowel sounds, and recognizing his Mommy - duh!?!? His reward was to receive his first immunizations! Oh boy ~ Happy Valentine's Day!!!
